Your Success Begins Here...
The world and the way we do business has changed. Having an online business is less about making money and more about sharing your message. Just take a look at all the platforms available for you to do exactly that. I have clients who are terrified of doing videos, and I understand them because I feel their pain when it comes to doing my own videos to get my message out.
No matter where you stand on making videos and getting your message out there now is the time to adapt if you already have a business. You may be worried about how to move forward, but don't let that cripple you or keep you stuck. It's time to dig deeper into your creativity, yes you are creative, as you continue to focus on the big picture (your big dream).
If you’ve been thinking about starting a business, embrace the opportunities available today, and start living your dream. You get to set the timeline you adhere to. This is 100% a personal decision, and you don't have to do it a certain way because it's your own vision.
So if you want to follow your desires of sharing what you are passionate about to change the works, or to make a difference in other’s lives, your journey should begin today.
A few years after the last economic downturn was when I started my online business. Why? Because after a job relocation for my husband, which took us across the country, I made the decision that I did not want to go back into the corporate sector, trying to find a job like so many were still faced with at the time.
That was one of the best decisions of my life. The dream of being an entrepreneur was one that I've had for most of my life. There were female entrepreneurs in my family, and I, too, wanted to one day live that dream.
This is your opportunity to live your dream, even if it may seem scary at first. short on time or money, there are still things you can do to get started. If you still have a job and want to stage something started, then look into starting a side hustle that can then become something you do on a full-time basis, giving up your 9 to 5.
Twice a week, I meet up with female business owners in mastermind groups, many of whom are worried about how to move forward and what to focus on the most. It's time to take control of your life. Focus on your BIG dreams, and stay in control of the things you have total control of.
If you are starting out have a general idea of what type of business you want to start. What do you love doing? What are you passionate about?
Don't get too caught up in the minutia, zoom out, and keep your eyes on the overall dream.
Who you want to be?
What you want your life to be?
How do you want to get there?
We recently started a new month and a new quarter, so let today be the day you start to make your big dream a reality!
Here are a few tips you can use to get started living your dream today:
Define Your Dream - Create a crystal-clear objective of what you’re trying to achieve. Don't be vague focus in on what it is you really want. Being vague is not motivating enough to keep you going when obstacles come up. Have a clear picture for you to keep going back to when challenges arise.
Take It One Day At A Time - Do a little each day, this turns into a lot over time. Working out 30 minutes each day can result in a lot of weight loss over a year. Completing one task related to your overall goal will help you achieve that goal.
You can absolutely realize your dreams without spending eight hours each day on it. Just by doing one thing each day.
Conquer Your Limiting Beliefs - We all have limiting beliefs. The way to conquer your self-sabotaging thoughts is to replace them with positive ones. It takes time, but with practice, you may just discover that your potential is limitless.
There are many forms of limiting beliefs:
Limiting Belief: It’s too hard. It’ll take too long.
Achieving your dreams doesn’t happen overnight. The four keys are to plan, commit, take action, and don’t quit. Break the big project, goal, or dream into manageable steps; commit to the cause; take action each day toward your goal, and never give up despite any obstacles you encounter.
Limiting Belief: It has to be perfect. You tell yourself, "It’s not good enough. No one will want what I have to offer, and I’ll be a failure.”
Perfection is the enemy of good. Your goal may take a little longer than planned, or it may not look the way you originally planned, but that doesn’t make your goal (or you) a failure.
Limiting Belief: It’s too late for me.
Feel like time’s passed you by? Starting later in life has its advantages. You have more experience, more realistic expectations, more resources, more clarity around what you want, and more patience. You have a lot more than less.
Ignore any and all doubters. There will always be someone trying to get in your way. It might be a family member, friend, or an anonymous person online. You have to be strong enough to ignore those people and stick to your plan. This is your dream, not theirs.
Celebrate victories. A long journey is easier with a few pleasant experiences along the way. Celebrate your small wins regularly as you progress on your journey. Doing this will make it so much easier to reach that finish line of realizing your dream and your tenacity.
It’s never too late, or too early to begin living your dream, nor is there an age limit. Each minute that passes is a minute you can’t get back. The time to begin living your dream is now!
Here's to your BIG DREAMS!
